Have You Registered for SK and Baranggay Elections 2010?

If you are the kind of teenager or young adult (below 18 years old) who is concerned with local government, you are probably aware that the registration for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) for Baranggay Elections on October 25, 2010 has started today. The registration for Baranggay Elections started August 1, and will run until August 10.

If you don’t know about it yet, and you want to vote, find out if you are qualified, and see what the requirements are.

First SONA of President Noynoy Aquino (Transcript Available)

Today – July 26, 2010 at around 4PM, President Benigno Aquino III delivered his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) at Batasan Pambansa, just barely a month after his inauguration. The initial spoilers included a “simple” speech and “expose” of previous administration’s misdeeds to put it conservatively.

PNoy’s speech was delivered mostly in Tagalog/Filipino, and he covered a lot of topics/problems in less than an hour (around 40-45 minutes). This blogger thinks the meat of the speech was about the following: WASTED FUNDS. Pres. Noynoy Aquino blasted the previous administration: there were CORRUPTIONS that led to unnecessary spending and INCOMPETENCE that led to unplanned projects.

Election 2010: Valuable Ballot Tips


Only four more days left before the presidential election, the first time in history where the controversial automated polling system will be utilized. Do you already know what to do with your sensitive ballots?
