The Pandacan Depots Services, Inc. (PDSI) in partnership with Bureau
of Fire Protection-Pandacan will run a series of Fire Prevention
campaign in different barangays of Pandacan. First of its series was
conducted in Barangay 835 last March 3. Next orientation/campaign will be in
Barangay 851 on March 29. This information campaign will run for the
whole year of 2011 as continuing advocacy to inculcate fire safety
among residents of Pandacan. Speakers will talk about the
characteristics of fire, causes and sources of fire in the community or
household level, basic fire fighting techniques and escape plan.
Interested barangays or groups who would like the orientation/campaign
to be conducted in their area may contact PDSI at 832-4000 and look for
Nimfa.
Last year, PDSI and BFP-Pandacan conducted fire prevention orientation campaign to 8 barangays, namely: Barangays 836, 862, 866, 867, 869, 870, 871 and 872.
