Police Station 10 Joins Manila Clean-Up Drive

The personnel and staff of Police Station 10 – or Presinto 10 as it is commonly known in our town – are cleaning up Pandacan. They joined the Manila Police District’s (MPD) campaign for a cleaner city — – both literally and figuratively.

It is a project launched by Mayor Alfredo Lim and MPD officer in charge and deputy director for administration Senior Supt. Alex Gutierrez as a part of a bigger umbrella program called “Linisin, Ikarangal, Maynila (Clean up, be proud of, Manila)”

News: Video Kareras Gone; Driver Kakutsaba sa Holdup?

In an effort to eliminate illegal gambling in Manila, Mayor Alfredo Lim led in the destruction of video kareras and color game boards in several districts. Thanks to the concerned baranggay officials, young students will be able to focus on their studies now.

Pandacan Police Station 10 – Agila

We received a letter from Police Superintendent Remigio Superales Sedanto MBA, PESE (DSC) a station commander of our Police Station 10 located in front of Sto. Niño church in bayan. He is inviting Pandacan residents to attend a meeting on March 5, 2011 (Saturday) about PS-10 Agila — an operation to strengthen peace and security in our community.

In the News: Murder Suspect Surrenders; Shell to Stay in Pandacan

After more than a month of hiding, 17-year old murder suspect identified as “Jhomar” (alyas “Pogi”) was turned in by his parents to the Manila Police Department. He allegedly shot another 17-year old using a home-made gun during a gang-related incident on January 3, 2011 in Kahilum I.

Meanwhile, Shell Petroleum Corporation intends to stay in Pandacan, despite recent news about the proposed oil storage hub near Manila Bay. If forced to leave, Shell country chairman Ed Chua said Shell would prefer to transfer to a location near the Batangas pipeline.

Fire Near Oil Depot Extinguished

Firefighters acted quickly to extinguish a fire near the depot yesterday morning (January 21), PhilStar reported. Although the blaze that started on Beata Street reached the third alarm, the incident was placed under control in 30 minutes, according to GMANews.
