This accident is the third documented misfortune in less than a month since Pandacan1011 was launched. Different people, but the same spot: The intersection of Quirino-Jesus St. and Paz Guanzon (Otis) at the foot of Nagtahan.. The first one involved cars. The following day, another mishap involving 5 cars occured. (What a surprise)
This latest incident happened predawn today (October 3, 2008), when a Pandacan bus hit a truck, injuring 6 people who were then brought to Ospital ng Maynila.
Something should be done here. Masyadong accident-prone ang area. And there may be even unreported accidents that 1011 wasn’t able to cover.

6 hurt, traffic snarled in predawn road mishap in Manila
MANILA, Philippines – Six people were reported hurt and traffic was snarled near the Nagtahan Bridge in Manila following a predawn mishap involving a truck carrying fish and a passenger bus Friday.
Radio dzBB’s Carlo Mateo reported that the truck was heading for Camarines Sur province when the passenger bus allegedly sideswiped it.
The truck crashed and rolled on its side at the southbound lane of Quirino Avenue, while the Pandacan Transport bus (TZE-963) stopped at the foot of Nagtahan Bridge.
Police are now looking for the still-unidentified driver of the bus.
“May narinig ako biglang may bumundol sa amin (I was asleep but I was jolted and heard something like something hit us),” one of the passengers of the truck said.
A separate report on dzXL radio identified the truck driver as Elmer Sulit. Sulit and five others were rushed to the Ospital ng Maynila, the report said. – GMANews.TV

grabe traffic agad jan, kc ung mga papuntang tulay ng nagtahan at ung patawid ng P. Guanzon St. (Otis) e, di makatawid dahil sa nakaharang na bus at truck.
ako nga e muntik nang ma-late dahil dito. aga-aga e perwisyo agad sila. di kasi sila sumusunod sa traffic light eh, ung pula sa tingin nila e go, eh mga g*** pala sila eh.
